Capt. B. H. Verney, R.N., a Home Ruler, has been elected for the seat of Buckingham, rendered vacant by the Hon Eggerton Hubbard, Conservative being raised to the Peerage, by a majority of 208. At the last general election Captain Verney was defeated fjr Buckingham by a majority of 71.
