The scholars at a dozen Board and other schools m London, follow?* ing the example of the Scotch boys, have gone out on c< strike n and display banners inscribed " shorter hours and. no home lessons foe holidays,", Following the exampts of their elders they are intimidating the '' Blacklegs/ who m this case ate children who prefer to go to school. Five hundred of the recalcitrant youngsters formed a procession to parade the streets but some of then* were driven into school by their parents* or neighbors.
