The meeting will be held undor^the Rules of Racing. 2. No entry will be received except on conditions that all claims, disputes, objections arising out of the racing shall decided by the Stewards or whom they maj appoint, The".r decision on all points con nected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in die district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from July 20th, 1889, and up to the date of the meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district during the sam* period. 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps, accompanied by fte, name, age, description, and per)ot malices of horse, and colors of rider must be in writing and in the hands of the Secre* tary, Commercial Hote l , Ashburton, not later than 9 p.m. on Saturday. September 28th, 18S9. HANDICAPS. Handicaps for the fiist day's races will be published on or about . October 7th.
