RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. The meeting will be held undsr^the Rules of Racing. 2. No entry will be. received except on conditions that all claims, disputes, objections aiising out of the racing shall decided by the Stewards or whom they maj appoint. The'r decision on all points con nected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from July 20th, 1889, and tip to the date of the meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the sanv* period. 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps, accont' panied by fee, name, age, description, and perjonnances of horse, and colors of rider must be m writing and m the hands of the Secretary, Commerci.il Hote', Ashburton, not later than 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th, IB3g. HANDICAPS.
