INQUEST
On Wednesday evening Mr L. Oxley acting Coroner held an iDqucst at Rowse's hoteJ, Methven, touching the death of Alexander GreenhilL There was a jury of six, Mr G. H.Allington, being foreman. — Evidence was given that deceased left the township dating the afternoon, riding on a pretty high load of grass seed, etc. About three miles from. the township some of his load slipped and he had to obtain assistance to reload the -dray. Deceased got on his load again and drove oft He was found lying on the road some torty chains farther on* m the evening. He had evidently fallen off and the wheel has passed over him causing serious injury, his skull being fractured, collar bone broken, shoulder dislocated and ribs badly broken and penetrating the left lung. He was removed to Methven where he received every attention but died before the services of a doctor could be pro* cured. Evidence was given shewing that deceased yasperfe:tly sober when he left the townshipi The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
