Mb Wbioht, Dear Sir, — I am m reoelpt of yours of the 11th, re lime, and beg to say that I have used a good deal of it the last few years, and have got very good results from its nse for both oata and wheat, I cropped the laud the first year with turnips, and dressed part of it with fonr tons of small 11 tee to the acre, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4ow* Maldon Gnano per aore. Next croppec with oats and barley, and had 70 bushel cf barley and 90 bushels of oats to the aore ; it was laid down one year and then put ln wheat and gave 40 bushels to the orb. J thoroughly believe we could no get anything ike tne orops we do if it were not for the lime. This yesr 1 qought another property, and I Intend to use 500 tons. I get it at Mllburn Lime Kilns. This same faim I bought aboui ten years ago, the party that had It pat on a few loads of the small lime, and it shows as deatlnotly bb possible; 60 bushels was about the highest I ever go ot oats nnti I used tbe lime. ■^-is truly, ~.
