COLONIAL GOVERNORS.
ADE-AXDB, September 30
Government have received a despatch from the Colonial Office m which it is stated that it is deemed m expedient to alter the method of appointment of Colonial Governors. " The Home Secretary points to the opposition of Canada,and to the fact that no representation on the subject has been received from New Zealand or Tasmania.
