Mr Alfred Harrison reports his weekly ca T e of Saturday, 28th September, as follows ;— •
Cows -Milch oows cf good qu»lity are readily saleable, tut the aged and poor quality animals constantly yarded are utterly unsileable at any price. Pigs. — v good entry and brink demand. Slip ., 8 j 10s, 10a 6d, 11b, 12i9d, Hs, 16_. 15s 61 ; sow m pig, 45*, Poultry.— Fowls, la 6d to Is 8d a pair; roosters, 2s 6d to 8s 2d a pair ; duoks, 2s 6d to 3s 3d ; geese, 5s a pair. Produces.- -Ohlokwheat, 2s to 2s 6d per bushel; oats, 2i to 2s 51 per bushel; sharps, 7s i bran, 461; derwenta. 6s to 7s a bag ; kidney, teed, ds to 7* 6d per bag ; o.rrote, 2a ; mutton, 2d per lb ; tea, 14 1 a box
As usual thsre was a Urge entry of merchandise generally, and a very good sale.
