The meeting will be held undsr the Rules of Racing. . 2. No entry will be received except on the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from July 20th, ISB9, and up to the date of the meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the sanv» period, 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps, acconv panted by ]<.c, name, age, description, and performances of horse, and colors of rider must be m writing and m the hands of the Secretary, Commercial Hote l , Ashburton, not Inter than 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th, 18S9. .
