Quebec, November 24,

The death roll by the accident at Duffarin Terrace has risen to 40. Besides these it is known 30 other persons are still entombed.

There are a thousand houses beneath the citadel which the latter threatens to overwhelm should it fall m consequence of the disrup ion of rock from Dufferio Terrace. The occupants are vacating them m haste.
