Consols, 97 ; New Zealand Fonr per Gent, Inscribed Stock is active at 108£. Australian wheat, ex warehouse, 39s 6d ; New Zealand long-berried, ex store, 88s 6d.
London, September 21
The sales of wheat are principally confined to new English crop, which averages 40b.
At the wool sales 275,000 bales are offering.

Money is hardening owing to expected insufficient supplies. Three months bills, Sf per cent. The English wheat market showß plight advances, the Continental is unchanged, and the American steady. Tallow — Medium mutton, 24s 6d; beef, 245. Stocks ran fifty per cent below the average.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following London cable mes page, dated 20th September :—
Wheat— The bulk of the harvest has been secured m good condition.
Tallow— The market is quiet. Good beef and mutton tallow is worth respectively 26s 6d and 27s 3d per cwt.
