The captain's boat reached Wallls loland, west of Samoa, on August Bth, »nd the ocoupants were then ln a vory weak oond tion, after a twonty three days' passage, daring whioh they ondured terrible privations. All tho provisions thsy had were 31b of salt meat and 201b of biscuits. They had very little water on board, but rain foil frequently, whloh tbey saved in their ollsk.'n coats. Jast before tbe poor fellows sghted Wftllts Island thoy had arranged to cast lots to determine which of thorn should be sacrificed to keep the others alive The mates boat has not sluoe boen heard of.
