(PBB PBBSS ASSOCIATION.) Wb__kgtoic, September 11. • The whole of the afternoon's sitting of tbe — Caaonlo Convention was devoted to Committee work. In dlaouislng the articles of union satisfactory progress Is being made. Tbe Convention resumed its meeting to-night, when a basis of onion was agreed to for submission to the Grand Lodge. In Iti main feature tbe bails Is similar to that proposed by the Central Exeoutlve Committee, bot a number of new articles have been added. Every •rtloie was thoroughly dlaouased In Committee, and practically every resolution arrived at was unanimous. From beginning to end of the convention not a single division ws» oalled for. The whole proceedings were most harmonious and the greatest good feeling prevailed. Some dlßousslon took plaoe regarding Dlstriot Grand Lodges, but It was decided to leave their establishment optional. At tbe conclusion of the meeting hearty votes of thanks were given to Bro. Robertson as Secretary, and Bro. Glllon as Chairman. The declaration of tha formation of the Grand Lodge, engrossed on vellum, was then formally eigned by the assembled delegates, and those present enrolled themselves as members of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand: Bro Hamerton was eleoted Aoting Treasurer. The existing Masonlo Union' Committees were asked to oonttnue to promote their objeot until tbe Grand Lodge meets.
