The meeting will be held under the Rules of Racing. 2. No entry will be received except on the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of the racing shall ba decided by the Stewards or whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points con* nected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from July 20th, 1889, and up to the date of the meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the said district during the sam? period. . . 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expenses of the course. 5. All nomination and acceptance fees to go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all Handicaps, accom* panted by fee, name, age, description, and pey fonnanccs of horse, and colors of rider must be m writing and m the hands of the Secre* tary, Commercial Hotel, Ashburton, not liter than 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th, iSb'9. HANDICAPS. Handicaps for the first day's races will be published on or about October 7th, Handi* caps lor the second day's races will ba pub» lished at or about 8 o'clock the evening of tho first day's racing, ACCEPTANCES A^D ENTRIES, Acceptances for the first day's Handicaps and Entries for the Maiden Plate and Nove Race must be m the hands of the Secretary not lattr than 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 12th.
