Weljjngtqn, September 1 The Governor was entertained at a banqaet m the Legislative Oounoil, on Saturday night, by members of the Oounoil. Th.re were thirty-five gentlemen present, lnoluding the guest of the evening, the Fremler. Colonial Seoretary, and Ministers for Defence, Pnblio Works andLande, tbe Hon E.O. J. The chair was oooupled by|Sr William Pita lerbert (Speaker), aud tho vloe-ohalr by C»ptaln Bsillie (Chairman of Oommltteee, who during the evening proposed and seoonded Hia Excellency's health.
