The Marquis of Salisbury has declined to accede to a proposal that the Pacific squadron should be ordered to protect English vessels engaged m the seal fishing m Behring Sea.
Washington, Angus". 22. It is reported that the United States Government is willing to arbitrate oa~ the question of the Bearing Sea fisheries' The American Press generally discourage the seizure of vessels, and refer tothe seizures made with derision.
