THE PARIS EXHIBITION.
Paris, August 24,
The New Zealand Government have been awarded a gold medal for their exhibit of timber at the Exhibition, The exhibits of Mr H. E. Liardet, furrier, Wellington, have received honorable mention. The Superior Jury have had under consideration the mineral awards made m July, and rejected the following : — Silver ratdal, Phoeoix Antimony Mining Company j bronze medals, Messrs Firth and Clark, Auckland j honorable mention. Reuben Par and United Mines. The jury have added to the previous list of awards a silver medal to the Endeavor Inlet Antimony Company. To the Saxon Quartz Mining Company, Thames, and Fiery Cross Mining Company, loangabua, the jury have awarded certificates of honorable mention instead of the bronze medal.
