The Emperor of Germany publicly welcomed the Emperor of Austria, who was accompanied to Berlin by Arch* duke Ferdinand and a distinguished suite. Great enthusiasm was shown by the people. Bbbxik, August 15. The Emperor William toasting his Imperial guest said the German people and army would maintain the alliance with Austria, even at the cost of having war forced upon rhera. The Emperor Francis m reply said he desired to be united as brothers and comrades; Austria waa grateful for German sympathy.
