MAIL CONTRACT.

London, August 8. In the House of Commons on Tues day the Right Hon Cecil Raikes, replying to a question, said that the Government of New South Wales had not made any arrangement with the Imperial authorities for a renewal of the existing mail contract. It is understood that Mr Raikes does not intend to renew it after its expiry m November.
