It is quite the rage to have theatres in private hoases in England. Among the most oonßpiououß is that in Hubert Herkomer'a London house. Another is at the country seat of Sir Percy Shelley, son of the post. Sir Percy writes play*, paints scenery, and oompoees the incidental musio of the plays produced. William Morriß* private theatro in London is more of a hall. It is long, low, barren, and whitewashed — not at all like what one wou'd expect of a decorative artist.
