Melbodbnk, Jaly .30 The " Argus" m an ■ article on the political deadlock m New Zealand, says that the Parliament of that colony is not lagging behind m the matter of obstruction, although it has the grace to close its doors and wrangle m private. The dispute is unfortunate, for while it upsets public business, it turns upon a miserable squabble between town and country, ISo better service could be done than to attempt to arrange the electoral business amicably. burely, says the Argus, the question of the representation of cities is one which might be settled m a spirit of fairness towards them.
