THE CHINESE QUESTION.
Sir James Ferguson, m answer to a question m the House of Commons, said the position with regard to the Chinese emigrants to the colonies was unaltered. He was m favor of coolie labor being employed m Northern Australia, where the climate was unsuited to white men.
