PARNELL COMMISSION.
(PER PRESS ASSOOIAIIOIT.} London, Jaly 12. Before the " Times "-Parnell Commission to-day Sir Chas Russell demanded the production m Court of the books of the Patriotic Union, which he was willing should be shown to the Court, though not to political opponents. Sir Jas. Hannen, the President, declined to order the production of the books. Even if it was true that the Union had paid to promote the present enquiry, still, the only question for the Court tojdecide was whether the charges were true. Sir C. Russell replied that he must confer with Mr ParneU as to the course he should follow m future. Thereupon the Court adjourned till Tuesday. It was reported that Sir Charles Russell has decided to withdraw from the case. This was, however, subsequently denied. A meeting of Mr Parnell's friends will be held on Monday to consider the course of action. The ParneUites contend thkat the books of the Patriotic Union will show that Pigott wrote " Parnellism and Crime " London, July 14. Continuing his evidence before the "Tiraes"-Parnell Commission yesterday, (?) Mr O'Brien declared that the chief feature of the National League was the creation of the national fund to save evicted tenants from the workhouse, ______ ____
