Timaeit, July 12. i The South Canterbury Hospital and Ohatltable Aid Board to-day dißounaed.the new BUI and carried resolutions affirming (1) That oharitable aid would be more •efficiently and eoonomioally dealt with by Road Boards, Town Boards, aud Borough Oounoils than by large bodies, auoh to have power to levy a rate for the purpose , and reoelve a subsidy from Government ; (2)1 Hospitals should be managed by Boards representing the contributing dls triqts m proportion to rate liability ; and (3) ! That provision should be made for boarding oat neglected children alternative to their being sent to an Industrial SoHool and the same tobtldv given.
