LIVE STOCK.
We have to report upon the Live Stook Market at Ashburton Yards, on Tuesday, 9th July: — The entry consisted of about 4,200 sheep, 40 head of cattle and 19 pigs. There was a fair attendance, of farmers, but the bidding on the whole was not bo good as last week, several of the pens of turnip sheep being passed. The following are the prices obtained :— Fat crossbred hoggets, 11s; do; ewes, 11b 3d, lls 4d, to 18s ; and one Bmall pen 17a 9d ; do merino wethers, 8s ; merino ewes in lamb, 8s 6d, 5s 4d ; crossbred ewes in lamb, 8s 5d ; 2-tooth oroßsbrod ewes, 11s sd. We sold 148 2- tooth orosßbred mixed sexes, lla. Fat oows, £6 2s Gd, £5 2a Gd, £4 10s, £4 ; a lino of 5 big outlooks, £6 7s 6d ; fat steers, £5, £4 15s ; heifers, £4, £2 10a ; springer, £2.
