THE DERVISHES.
The first Battalion of the Black Watch, and the second Battalion of the Essex regiment, both of which are stationed at Malta, will probably be ordered to proceed to Egypt to reinforce the positions threatened by the Dervishes.
Cairo, Ju'y 10. The Welsh Regiment and one squadron of the 20th Hussars have started for Assouan.
