A MYSTERIOUS MURDER.

Sydney, Jane 27. Further particulars have reached here df the murder of Captain Greenless, of the schooner Colonist, at Havannah Harbor, by a man named Weaver, a supercargo on board the vessel. It appears that Weaver, before the Colonist left Sydney, endeavored to induce a medical gentleman, a friend residing m this colony, to visit the island with him, He related an extraordinary tale of hidden wealth m one of the Pacific islands, which was known only to himself. The doctor m question was much impressed with the story. When Weaver went on board the Colonist and took his departure, the vessel cleared ostensibly for Christmas Island with no cargo, only a quantity of spades and fire arms aboard. A splendid new whaleboat had been secured by Weaver, and was taken along with the Colonist. There were no charts on board the schooner showing the position of Christinas Island, and as Weaver took all the sights himself no one onboard knew where the vessel was going. The Colonist put into Uayanrjah for provisions, and afterwards sighted Lizard Island. Weaver continually boasted that the clearance of the vessel was fictitious, and often repeated to the officers the tale of hidden wealth. The laiter, becoming suspicious, kept strict; watch on the movements of the schooner. After committing the murder of the captain bj firing three shots into his body, Weaver denied all knowledge of the crime.
