Mr D, Thomas (late of Matson, Oox and Oo) reports upon the JAvo Stock market for the Aehburton distriot fur the week ending Juno 25th aa follows:— rOn Tuesday at tha Abhbarton yurde I held my aeaal weekly saje of sh.eep, oattle and pigs. The total entty oonsiated of 4833 sheep, \5 oatile and 3 P>g>» of wbioh I sold 2117 sheep and 8 head of oattle. Sheep m the fat peas were of very poor quality and tbe 8 tore sbeep were represented by two or three good pens of lambs and 2, 4 and 6'tooth ewes m forward condition, the balance merino ewea m poor aoodition. The attendance was a imall one and the bidding slack many of the'panebeiag passed at auction but subsequently most of these w :ro sold piiviiteJy at ratea nearly equal to lust wook Fat merino ewes, 4< Bdj 09 4d to Gi ; store oroasbred lambs, 8s Bd, 8a 9d to 93 ; fat merino wethers, Q.* Id; merino ewes m lamb, 3j lid to 4a 6 1 : aged oross^rod qwos ia poor condition, 4d 3ds Ii cattle, fat oows, £5; light S'V« 0, £3 17s 6d ; springers, £5 to £5 sa; oaives, 7b.
