QUEENSLAND.
Brisbane, June 26. A powerful Queensland Syndicate has obtained twenty square miles of gold-bearing country m the Pahahg districs of the Malay Peninsula, which thi y intend to work. From a ton of specimens the Syndicate has obtained 1020Z of gold, which has been sold at Singapore at £4 2s 6d per ounce.
A missing boat, containing a portion of the crew of the barque Brazos, wrecked on thft coral reef north of Sandy Cape, has arrived at Bowen. ;
