Wright, Esq., Dear Sir, — Io reply to yonr enquiries r« ime, on a pleoe of land In oats this season, I spread 25 cwt to the acre. The difference was very marked. I estimate the increase at 10 bushels per tore, and expect a substantial inoreaee on portion limed for several years. 1 also limed a strip m a paddock nown with turnips, with about the same quantity of lima per aore, and the difference is even more marked than m the piece sown with oats* —Yours Faithfully, John Hood Sprlngburn May Ist, 1889. To E. F. Wbight, Ebq, £ IB*— ln reply to yours of the 28th I have nted youe lime on lea. land and land foe turnips and the result Is so satisfactory m both oases I will use your lime largely this year. Yeurs Truly, A. M. MoFablanb. To E. F. Weight, Ebq , Mount Somers. Dear Sir,— ln reply to your enqalrle* about lime for top-dreaslnp I beg to say L used about 25 owt. tothe aore Ust spring »t Buooleuoh with very great sue oess, and Intend going largely Into It foi the future. In my opinion it Is the best manure one oan uae on dry land. Yours frlthfally, H. T. Wzhtbr. BIVERSDALE. Milton, May 15tb, 1889. Mb Weight, Dear Sir,— l am m reoelpt of youra of tbe 11th, re lime, and beg to «ay that I bave used a good deal of It the last few yean, and have got very good results from Its use for botb oats and wheat, I oropp#d the land the first year with turnips, and dressed park of It with fog tons of small lime to the aore, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4owt Maldon Guano per aore. Next oropped with oats and barley, and bad 70 bushels pf barley and 90 bushels of oats to the aore ; It was laid down one year and then put In wheat and gave 40 bushels to the aore. I thoroughly believe we could not get anything like the oropa we do If It wera not for the lime. Tbis yesT I bought another property, and I Intend to nse 500 tons. I get it at Mllburn Lime Kilns. This same faim I bongbt about ten years ago, the party that had It pnt on a few loads of the small lime, and it shown as destlnotly as possible; GO bushels was about the highest I ever got of oats oqtU I qaed the lime. Yours truly, H. Dowif. E. F. WRIGHT. Proprietor,
