AN UNSUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT.
The shipment of South American mutton and fruit, preserved by anew, method, rotted m the tropics. The outsides appeared intact, but on opening ths specimen? they were found to be worthless. The Company assert that the experiment was not properly carried out, the instructions not being followed. They declare that a similar shipment from India has been successful. Mutton is being shipped " to Australia as an experiment.
