Wright, Esq., Pear Sir,— ln reply to your enquiries re : ime, on a piece of land m oate this , season, I spread 25 cwt to t,ho aore. [ The difference was very marked. I ostlmate' the inorease at 10 bushels per aore, and expeot a substantial inorease on portion limed for several years. 1 also limed a strip In a paddock sown with turnips, i with about the same quantity o( lime per aore, apd the difference is eye,-) more marked than m t|je piece sown with oats* -IW* Faithfully, | Johh Hood Springbum May Ist, 1880. To E. F. Wbight, Esq, Sib,— ln reply to youra of the 28th I have used your lime on lea land and land for tnrnlps and the 'result la so satisfactory m both oases I will use your lime largely this year, Yaurs Truly, A. M. MoFarlaice. ToE. F. Weight, Ee-j., Mount Somers. ] Dear Sir, — In reply to your enquiries about lime for top-dressing* I beg to say I used about 25 owt. tothe aore last spring at Buoolenoh with very great sue cess, and Intend going largely into It for the future. In my opinion It Is the beat manure one oan nse. on dry land. Yours fflthfally. H, T. Win-ran. BJVERSDALE. . Milton, May llth, 1889. Mb Wbight, Dear Sis, — I am In reoelpt of yoars of the llth, re lime, and , beg to say that I bave nied a good deal of It the last few years, and have got very good results from Its nse for both oats and wheat, I cropped tbe land tbe first year with tnrnlps, and dressed part of it with fa 8 tons of small lime to the acre, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4owt Maldon Guano per aore. Next cropped with oats and b_rley,-and had 70 bushels pf barley and 90 bushels of oats to the lore ; It was laid down one year and then put In wheat and gsve 40 bushels to the aore. I thoroughly believe we oonld not get anything like the orops we do (f It were not for the lime. This year I booght another property, and I Intend to use 600 tons. I gst It at Unburn Lime Kilns. This flame faim I bought abont ten years' ego^ the p,a**ty that had It put oh a l|ew loads or the small lime, and it shows as distinctly as possible ; 90 bushels was about the highest I ever got oi oats until I need the llsqe. tfoqw truly, H. Duiw. JB, F. WRIGHT, Proprietor. i
