(From oub Oobkespondmtt.) On Saturday, the Good Templar* of the Roie of Sprlngbnm Lodge held the!* anniversary open-Lodga meeting. Mr J. Prioe, W.O.T. opened the meeting by calling upon a friend for 4a Introductory solo on tho Lodge's American orgaa. Owing to the frost, no doubt, the initrument had oaught a wheezing oold and the performance was a failure. Tat Worthy Oblef then prooeeded to pro■eot Brother and SUter MeFarlant on behilf of the Lidge, the former with* handsome eight day clock, the latter with a certificate of membership, artistically engrossed, by Brother Joseph Brown; and beautifully framed Brother MoFarlant ratnroed suitable thanks for himself and hit lady. Contrary to the general rait very few muilaal Items wire called for : A. song by Mr J«go (.mooted), duet by Brother and Sister Price (aweetly sang), I a very nloe aong by Misi Syme and another by Sister A. Prtoe oompleted tba rather meagre supply of music At intervalr, addresses were given by Bra* thers PattersoD, Scott and Blston, visitors from sister Lodges In Ashbnrton. Ml J.
