■ ♦ , (PBB FKBSS ASSOCIATION.) _____ LorTDOir, Jane 13. Mr Garland, a member of the New South Wales Parliament, has arrived m London. He had a narrow escape of sharing m the fate of the victims of the [ Johnstown disaster. He was inspecting natural gas wells m the vicinity during the day, but hearing that the reservoir waß reported unsafe he left at once. That same night the reservoir burst and swept the inhabitants into eternity. Mr Garland visited different gas wells m Pennyslvania, and is convinced that the wells discovered at Narrabeen, near Sydney, are identical with those of America.
