There was a very- large; atten* dance of householders and Mr P. Stewart, • Obatiman cf tbe outgoing Committee, ww< ' voted to tbe oh»lr, - * . . :.-'. The Chairman read the minutes of tht last meeting of Committee, also J[a•peotot'a report foe M»y 1889/ »nd /oil Jnne 6 h and November 15th JBBB. He also read a number of letters and oorrea« pondenoe whioh had pasted betwetd tb>' Board and the Committee on the vexed question onnoerritng the main hohobl.- ' -*' ; A'good deal of feeling was displayed bf £ several of thoie present regarding the Committee's action. A motion wa^. tabled by Mr D.- Wilson, and another by Mr J. Brown, but after some disoussiun both were withdrawn and ; tbe matter allowed to drop. ' .
