THE IRISH DELEGATES.
The " Times," referring to the visit of the Irish delegates t'd Australia, says the forcible and reasonable criticism of the utterances of the delegates by the Melbourne press well deserve the attention of Englishmen, who will gladly learn the aggregate Gladstooian contributions to Parnellife objects as compared to the contributions }■ received through Patrick Elord; editor ;of the " Irish World/ and Alexander Sullivan, of the Clan-na Gael organisation. If the movement be innocent and laudable, argues the "Times," why should Mr Dillon fear an inspection of accounts. The articlfe' further says Mr Dillon may be expected to handle the Victorians ronghly after leaving the colony, as did Heaey after leaving New South Wales m 1883.
