Wood..*uff, m his confession, states that an allusion to Dr Cronio, made by Major Le Caron bsfore the " Times M - Parnell Commission, led the Clan-na-gael Society to try Cronin on a charge of treachery. He was adjudged guilty and , bis death was resolved upon. About a dozen members of the Society •were implicated m the carrying out of the sentence of murder.
