They almost Immediately found, but puss took a bad course Into bare wire country . aud had to be brought baok again. This . time puss gave a better run of some 2$ miles, .but was lost Several short spins « over nloe jumping fenoes brought the afternoon to a olose. The meet at Elgin bridge on 28th lust. .waa rather poorly attended, but the score . of followers present were well repaid. • The first hare, whlob was f onod on Me D. Butteriok's property, gave a nioe spin of .20 minutes before a oheok occurred, the hounds viewing her a good part of the ' time, and she was eventually killed on the spot she started from. Another hare was ' found behind Mr P. Highland's and also j Buffered the same fate after a tun of thirty minutes . over some very, rough country, the wire being remarkably high In some of the fenoes.
