THE CALLIOPE.
LouDoir, May 24. Lord Hamilton, First Lord of the Admiralty, said that recognition would probably be made of the services of those who saved the Calliope during tbe recent hurricane at Samoa, but added that it was impossible to specially recognise the services of Captain Kane.
