Evidence m the action Greenwood (formerly editor of the "St James' Gazette") against Gibbs, disclosed the iact that Sieinkoft, who recently purchased the journal, had negociated with Dr, Rottenberg, Bismarck's secretary, with a view to making the "St Jameß' Gazette" the organ of Bismarck. During the course of the trial a letter was read from Dr Rottenberg, m which the opinion was expressed that Germany alone would profit by the prosecution ofßoulanger. ; - -.. > { ; a ; .. v .
