Ohristohdeoh, May 22. ' At the Bale to«day there was a very large attendance, and, generally speaking, there waa an unusual amount of activity prevailing, and m some reapeots tbe day 'a doings were far more satisfactory than was the o»aa racsßtly. Store Sheep.— The market opened with ibis ol*sa of stock, which was mnoh more fall than last week's, and the business done *nn goad. Fat Lambs,— The entry of lambs was nnusnaLy email and prloes somewhat less than lately, there being little or no demand. A line of orn&abreds fetched up to 7i 3 1, other sorts being sold In proportion. Fat Shebp —There was • very large entry of mutton and m several oases the quality was very saperlor. Heavily fljeoed sheep realised higher prices than hitherto, and the price of meat itself, when necessary dednotions were made, was not much affected. Best wethers fetched fally 2d per lb while ewea and inferior kept ap to ljd per lb throughout. Fat OattliK. — There was a very large entry of fat bnllooke, some of the line* being eipeolally fine beasts. Best realised np to £10 ss, eqnal to 17a 6d per lOOlbs. Stobh Cattle. — There was a very fair entry of store cattle, some of whtob, were of exoellent quality and sold at satisfactory rate*. Calves fetched up to 365. Figs realised 3si to 44 per lb.
