COLLISION IN THE CHANNEL
LOSS OP TWENTY LIVES. (per press association.; London, May 21. The steamer German Emperor, 587 tons, of London, collided during a fog m the Channel, with the steamer Beresford, 1415 tons, of West Hartlepool. The German Emperor foundered, and twenty lives were lost.
