Mb Wbioht, Dear Sir,— l am In receipt of yours of the 11th, re lime, and beg to say that I have used a good deal of It the last few years, and have got very good results from Its nse for both oats and wheat. I cropped tbe land the. first year with tnrnlpa, and dressed part of It with four tons of small lime to the aore, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4owt Maldon Guano per acre. Next cropped with oats and barley, and had 70 bushele of barley and 90 bushela of oats to the aore ; It was Isid down one year and then put In wheat and gave 40 bushels to the acre. I thoroughly believe we could not get anything like the orops we do If it were not for the lime. This year I boaght another property, and I Intend to uae 500 tons. I gat It at Mllburn Lime Kilns. This same faim I bought about ten yeara ago, the party that ( had It pot on a few loada of the small lime, and it shows ss destlnotly as possible; 60 bushels was about the highest I ever got of oats until I used the lime.
