"JACK THE RIPPER."
M_h_boub_*f, May 22. The police hive received a letter signed "Jack the Ripper" apprising them of his arrival here and stating that he intends committing crimes similar to those perpetrated at Whitechapel a few months ago. He invites the police to catch him if they can. Although the police believe the letter to be a hoax, precautionary measures have been taken.
