Milton, May 15th, 188% Ms Wbiqht, Dear Sir,— l Am m receipt of yours of the 11th, re lime, and beg to say that I have used a good deal of it the last few years, and have got very good remit! from Its use for both oats and wheat, I cropped the land the first year with tnrnips, and dressed part of it with font tons of small lime to the aore, part with stock-yard manure, and part with 4owt Maldon Guano per aore. Next cropped with oats and barley, and had 70 buiheli of barley^ and 30 bushels of oats to the acre ; It was laid down one year and then pat In wheat and gave 40 bushels to thai tore. I thoroughly believe we could not get anything like the crops we do if Its were not for tha lime. This yesr I bought another property, and I intend to nse 600 tons. I get it at Mllburn Lima Kilns.
