FRUIT GROWING.
A deputation from the Fruit Growers League waited on Sir S. Samuel to-day asking if the Government of New South Wales would offer any facilities for acquiring land m that colony for fruit culture, and whether they would cootribute towards the expense entailed m sending out an expert to report on the capabilities of the colony. In reply Sir Saul Samuel doubted if Government would grant any pecuniary assistance to a private enterprise but be said that they would gladly offer all information m their possession on the subject.
