He warned the miners that he would employ all the great power he had at his disposal to repress Socialist agitation and intrigues. If the slightest resistance were shown to authority, every man taking part m such resistance would be shot, but if the miners were peaceful they would be proteoted by the Government while endeavoring to secure their rights. . The strike occasions a daily loss of oapital to the extent of a million marks.
