SCOURGING MORMON ELDERS.

They separated into couples and deployed themselves through out the Bootion, ot first keeping their identity a secret, and proposing wonderful faith cures and tho perf rming of miracles. They Bet up the bold claim that they could inako the lame walk, the blind see, and bring the dead back to life. Two of these worthies penetrated Into Dubois county, wlihtn 30 miles of this city, and announced that, as divinely appointed apoatles of God, they had coma to bring a lost world back to the Mormon oread. This was supplemented with the bold announcement that au old woman of the neighborhood, who bad been blind for 50 years, should be mide to to Bee; The people gathered m g eat num berfl toaee the miracle; bat the Impostors, after working for a half-day with the aubj°ot, gave up the case, assigning their failure to the feebleness of the pattest. In the meantime the poor, unfortunate woman had been subjected to snob, ex* oltement that she fell Into a dead faint, and at last acoounta wao not expected to live. This caused some indlpnatfon, bnt the elders were let alone nntil last | night, when they were given peremptory [ oidersto leave the county by a body of the moat prominent citizens. The elders informed thorn that they proposed to ro main. This led to a conference of the 'Begu'atorß,' who at onoe deoided upon extreme raeaaures. While they were still exhorting to a Bma'l orowd, four Btnrdy men came m from lhe rear, wearing maeka, and m a twinkling pinioned the eldora and led them away. Two or three interferences from converts met a sound dubbing, and tlie ' Kegulatora 1 led their 1 victims into a dlatant ravine, where they I were Btiipped to the bare b»ok and given fifty laßhes.
