This caused some indlpnatfon, bnt the elders were let alone nntil last | night, when they were given peremptory [ oidersto leave the county by a body of the moat prominent citizens. The elders informed thorn that they proposed to ro main. This led to a conference of the 'Begu'atorß,' who at onoe deoided upon extreme raeaaures. While they were still exhorting to a Bma'l orowd, four Btnrdy men came m from lhe rear, wearing maeka, and m a twinkling pinioned the eldora and led them away.
