Edwards, tenor singer, formerly of Wellington, sang several songs, accompanied by Mr F, H. Cowen, who has lately returned from fulfilling the duties of conductor at the Melbourne Exhibition. Mr Edwards' singing was a decided success. London, May 12. It is stated that freights to the colonies will be reduced by half-a crown at once. Mr W. L. Bright, M.P. for Stoke-on-Trent, sails for Australia on Thursday.
