The Charitable Aid Board has applied to tbe Sheriff as to wheatbi hangman (• to be released, as the Board Is supporting his wife and ohUd, for the desertion of whom tbe hangmaa was sent to gaol for four months. It Is understood he ia to be discharged to-morrow, and his passage paid elsewhither. Oa bis release his wife will prosecute eg*!n. Two months of the hangman's sentence have been served.
